National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser tested positive for the corona virus

On Thursday, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser tested positive for the novel Coronavirus and went into isolation, he confirmed in a tweet released from his official handle on Thursday.

"I tested positive for the corona virus and confined myself to my home. Shortly after receiving my test report from the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Islamabad, he wrote on Twitter that I was completely I urge the nation to take precautionary measures.

Asad Qaiser's brother, Abdul Waheed, confirmed that the NA speaker's son and daughter had also been positively tested for infectious disease and had been treated.

Earlier, Caesar's brother-in-law and sister-in-law were diagnosed with a respiratory illness caused by a global epidemic.

In violation of the government's policy of social distance, Asad Qaiser reported an Iftar dinner at his residence on Monday.

He has joined the list of politicians who have contracted a deadly disease that has so far affected more than 16,500 people and claimed 358 lives across the country.

Just three days ago, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail had taken a positive test in Covid 19, but he had vowed to fight the highly contagious disease.
