In Pakistan, banks deferred loans of Rs 236 billion for a year due to the corona virus.
A statement issued by the SBP said that as on April 24, 303,000 people had availed the facility of deferring loans and at present 5126 more applications were being considered.
The central bank said in a statement that the SBP had introduced a bailout scheme due to the corona virus, under which borrowers could apply for deferment of loans by June 30, 2020.
