I was only accused of fixing, no one was proved: Saleem Malik

Former national cricket team captain Saleem Malik has said that only allegations of fixing have been leveled against him, no one has been proved and he has been cleared by the court.

In his statement, Saleem Malik said that in the past whenever he tried to speak, he was treated like an untouchable, he always tried to present his case and today he is doing it again.

He said that Ahmed Subhan, Chief Operating Officer of PCB called me and said that you have cleared, PCB has cleared the money of my provident fund.

Saleem Malik says that when there was a fight between the two groups where I was given the captaincy, the allegations of match-fixing were not only leveled against me but also against other players, no action was taken against them.

The former captain said that many people made statements against me, I went to the court and was cleared from there, not only Rashid Latif, Haroon Rashid and others also leveled allegations against me.

He added that how many claimed compensation and how many got it? Reconciliation takes place outside the court, I can't say anything about what Rashid Latif says, these are just allegations, bring evidence too.

Saleem Malik said that Justice Qayyum held a court in his house and called all the cricketers home, started questioning me and decided to leave me alone in a room.

"Everyone mentions the statements made against me. No one mentions those who made statements in my favor," he added.

It may be recalled that in recent days, former cricketer Basit Ali has also been accused of match-fixing but he has denied it.

Recently, Saleem Malik had apologized to the nation after 19 years for revealing all the secrets regarding fixing.

Earlier, he had demanded that he be given a chance to return to cricket like Mohammad Aamir and Sharjeel Khan.
