Inflation in April was 0.8 percent lower than in March

According to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics, inflation in April was 0.8 percent lower than in March.

According to the Bureau of Statistics, from April 2019 to April 2020, the inflation rate was 8.5 percent and from July 2019 to April 2020, the inflation rate was 11.22 percent.

In April, lentils became 27.54 per cent, lentils 23.11 per cent, fruits and eggs 17.71 per cent and sugar 2.55 per cent more expensive, according to the Bureau of Statistics.

In addition, dal mash became expensive by 14%, dal gram by 10.43%, basin by 8%, beans by 4.73% and white gram by 4.3%.

It may be recalled that the inflation rate was recorded at 10.24 per cent in March and 11.53 per cent during July-March.
