A German pharmaceutical company has developed a vaccine for the corona virus and started testing it on humans.
The BNT162 vaccine has been administered to 12 people since April 23, according to Bioen Tech, a leading German pharmaceutical company that works with the American company Pfizer.
The German company says it will begin testing the vaccine on a group of 200 people between the ages of 18 and 55 in the next phase.
It is to be noted that many companies and institutions around the world, including the German company, are currently working on more than 100 vaccines for the corona virus, five of which have been tested on humans.
However, experts say it will still take at least a year to develop the safest vaccine for corona virus.
In addition to the German company, Oxford University has begun testing its vaccine on humans and has entered into an agreement with a British pharmaceutical company to manufacture it on a large scale.
The US company GSK and the French company Sanofi are also working on the vaccine and their testing on humans will begin in the second half of this year.
